Behind the Scenes: Virginia, Lead Account Manager

In this interview, we talked to Virginia Cuartango Aguilera, Account Manager at Altissia since 2017. Virginia speaks three languages and is responsible for managing the relationship between Altissia and clients from Spain, Latin America, and North Africa. During this conversation, she talks about her challenges and her secrets to be successful in those connections.

Can you tell us a bit about who you are and what you do at Altissia?

I have been an Account Manager at Altissia since 2017 and I am in charge of planning and implementing online language education projects.

I have a background in Business Administration and Management, and I manage our collaboration with institutions and companies in Spain, Latin America and North Africa from my base in Madrid.

What languages do you speak?

Spanish, English and French.

What are the key factors to ensure the quality and success of the projects you manage at Altissia?

Communication, teamwork and enthusiasm.

Constant communication with our clients allows me to get to know their specific needs in depth and propose project models that fit their specific case.

I always work closely with my team. All areas of Altissia are involved in the launch and management: colleagues from the technical department, support, marketing and communication, the pedagogical and linguistic team... Our goal is to make the project a resounding success.

And throughout the whole process... enthusiasm! Because each client is a new and different adventure with whom to work and to whom to offer the best solution from Altissia and ourselves.

What is your secret weapon to ensure the success of your projects?

To take on the responsibility for the success of each of my projects as my own. This leads me to look for options when there is a difficulty, to transmit enthusiasm for what I do and how I do it, and to offer my time and effort for each one of them.

What are the main challenges or problems that you or your clients face and how do you solve them?

The unpredictable is the main challenge.

A thorough knowledge of the needs of each project and of Altissia's tools allows for a good planning of the different stages, but sometimes an unexpected situation arises to be dealt with.

And at that moment, we must offer appropriate solutions to redirect the project in the right direction.

What do you like most about your job?

Personal contact.

I like to establish a close relationship with my clients, where trust is the essential basis of our bond. And to maintain permanent contact with all my colleagues.

This two-way complicity helps projects to develop optimally, which ensures their success.

What difference does having a single point of contact make for your clients and how does it work at Altissia?

In their Altissia Account Manager, each client finds not only the point of contact, but also the person they can trust to support them throughout the project. He or she is the hinge that links all of Altissia’s teams with the client, in order to achieve optimal results.

Every request, every question, every doubt is channelled by the Altissia Account Manager and presented to the colleagues in the corresponding areas, joining forces to offer the best possible response.
